Researchers have concluded that the heat waves that struck Australia last year were almost certainly a direct consequence of greenhouse gasses released by human activity. The United States has begun taking real steps toward reducing greenhouse gases and carbon emissions, but we can all do more to guard our children and grandchildren from a future of droughts and erratic weather. Texas will have a brighter path with cleaner air, cleaner water, and a cleaner energy future if we all pitch in.
