Hello everyone! Some of you may remember me. Im Mimouna, the North - TopicsExpress

Hello everyone! Some of you may remember me. Im Mimouna, the North African Greyhound mix (Sloughi) that was rescued and brought over to Montreal all the way from Morocco last September. My humans adore me very much and put in a great deal of time and effort to ensure my safe passage and integration into my new life with them over here. New home, brand new baby boy, 2 cats and the city life were all the things I needed to get used to and I did just that famously. Things were going well for a while but it became clear that my need for regular exercise and structure was not possible to meet for my already extremely busy humans. God knows they tried very hard to make it work. They saved my life and brought me here hoping for forever after with me. There just arent enough hours in the day for these 2 working parents to tend to my needs and the needs of a newborn. Ive made it clear to them that Im not fulfilled. They came to the very difficult and heart-wrenching decision that finding me a more suitable home was the best solution. So, about me, my personality and temperament..... Im a little over a year old, spayed and up to date on vaccines. I weigh about 45 lbs. Im tall , lean and muscular, I run like the wind and Im in terrific health overall. Im extremely docile and friendly. I get along great with other well mannered dogs and Im very respectful of cats and children. Im super gentle and loving with the baby in my home. My energy level is typical of a young athletic dog like myself. My daily exercise is a must to keep me grounded as well as structured. I need stability and a confident leader. Im very bright and eager to please. Im already well-trained and obedient. Im also crate trained, house-trained and do not bark when the doorbell rings or when I hear noises coming from outside the door. I walk like a pro on a leash and love to meet new people. I have a natural ability for agility training, playing fetch and scent work. Imagine all the fun we could have together! My ideal home should be where at least one active human will be able to provide me with daily exercise. I love to swim as well so I you live near a body of water or you have a pool, I will be thrilled to jump in. Since Im so easy to train, I would surely embrace going on a treadmill during those frigid winter days. As much as I like to run and play fetch when its exercise time, I also love to just chill with you and snuggle up on the couch. Im very affectionate and give the sweetest kisses. My loving eyes will just melt your heart. Im a big love-bug. If you feel you meet the pre-requisites mentioned above to give me that ideal forever home, please contact Sophies Dog Adoption at info@sophiesdogadoption or call Annie Justice Primeau at (514) 254-4926 (leave a detailed message). You will then be asked to fill out an application form if everything sounds good. Im also looking for a suitable foster home asap. Its important that I do not end up bouncing around from foster home to foster home so please make sure you meet those pre-requisites as well even if my stay with you will only be temporary. Thank you for sharing. Montreal and area please.
