Residency News! In April 2015, Saul Nash (London) will be in Detroit for a one month residency with Spread Art to support creation of Are You Comfortable in Your Skin?, an experimental short film visually exploring the theme of self confidence through fiction and documentary. Saul SA Nash (SSAN) is a multimedia artist with a background in performance. He began with an interest in choreography, but after studies in Performance Design & Practice at Central Saint Martins he began working across multiple disciplines, including Installation, fine art, video/film and fashion, as a way to communicate concepts and ideas. An active member of Avant Garde Dance Company, Saul continues to use dance and the methodologies of theatre as an inspiration to create a variety of works. Sauls current focus is the exploration of the body within installation and space. To get a sense of Sauls work, check out Untitled Perceptions (2012), a short film focusing on perception within a society.
