Resident Editor of Hyderabad edition of The Hindu has been booked for damaging the reputation of D.G.P and Police for carrying news about D.G.P,s visit to a Godman resulting in traffic jam causing inconvenience to people.It is a clear case of misuse of I.P.C.. This reminds me my days as Jansatta staffer at Chandigarh.In Meham assembly poll while senior I.P.S officers were doing all wrong thing to please then C.M. O.P.Chautala.But constables has revolted and then Home Minister,Sampat Singh and green brigade chief J.P.had to take cover for safety.I had carried a report in jansatta Titled Meham Chobisi ko Salaam. last lines were that I salute Jawans of Haryana Police who had revolted refusing to obey illegal dictates of their bosses where senior I.P.S. officers had degraded the post.The news had mentioned that until this senior cops are not put behind the bar no body is safe in Haryana Late Swadesh Kumar Sethi elder brother of my friend Sawtanter Sethi told me that Govt. was planning to book me for inciting Police force.For a moment I got worried but told Sethi Sahib whom I held in high esteem because he was a professional cop that thanks for informing me arrest will boost me as I had not written anything wrong. Rajbir Deswal,I.G. Police,Haryana has described Sethi as professional cop. So do not worry.The Hindu is a bold paper.
