Residents of Chatteris and Manea were invited to influence what the local Safer Neighbourhood Team and Fenland District Council were to adopt as their community key concerns. Members of the public were invited to complete a short questionnaire, the results of which have been used to identify the community concerns and influence the multi-agency response. 71 survey questionnaires were completed in total covering all parishes and the majority of the community that replied to the survey questionnaire felt the level of crime and antisocial behaviour was low. Chatteris 30 surveys were completed; out of these 14 perceived a low crime rate 12 perceived a medium crime rate, 8 identified no issues. The main issues raised were bicycles with no lights and being ridden on the pavement. Fenland District Council will be the lead on dog fouling Manea 41 survey forms were completed, out of these 34 perceived a low crime rate, 1 perceived a medium level of crime rate and 6 identified no issues. The main issues raised were speeding of vehicles at Station Road, Westfield Road and High Street, this priority was set in association with lorries travelling through the village at speed with heavy loads, at all times of the day and night. District Council will be the lead on dog fouling of which has been set for both areas. As a result the key concerns the police will be focusing on is speeding/lorries and nuisance vehicles. In relation to this the Police will also concentrate on bicycles with no lights and being ridden on the pavement Council will be the lead on dog fouling.
