Resistance training doesnt have to involve going to the gym and lifting weights, although that is very effective. It can be done using your own body weight such as yoga and Pilates. In my humble opinion its a MUST for everyone. It plays a very important role in strengthening bones and maintaining healthy joints. Here is a sample body weight circuit for when you cant make it to the gym. All you need is a watch.. 1 min lunge matrix (step forward lunge, side lunge, step back lunge , side lunge, repeat) 30 seconds push ups 1 min squats 30 seconds mountain climbers 1 min walking lunges 30 seconds plank 1 min rest Repeat. Goal = 5 rounds Aim for max reps each exercise
