Respected Sir / Madam, I am writing this letter in personal capacity on to seek financial support to save the life of my five month old daughter Drushti Nagda. Drushti Nagda, has been suffering from Biliary Atresia with liver crissosis. She was admitted to Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai, when she was just two months old & underwent a major operation called Kasai Surgery. Unfortunately the surgery was a failure. Now she has end stage liver disease with other complications like ascites (free fluid in stomach), Blood Flow in portal vein is reversed, Persistent Jaundice, Hernia etc. The only hope for her disorder is Liver transplantation. I myself have been successfully screened to be valid liver donor for Drushti Nagda, which is by far the best news for my family in recent times. I am planning to undergo the transplant procedure at the Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bengaluru between 15-20 Feb 2014 . This operation would cost about Rs.15 Lakhs including the cost for ‘donor’ and ‘receiver’ surgery. Post surgery hospitalization and care would cost around 3-4 Lakhs additionally for subsequent treatment including two months hospitalization for the baby. Enclosed herewith is the letter issued by the Surgeon Dr.Ashley D’Cruz from Narayana Hrudayalaya, detailing Drushti Nagda’s reports and discharge summaries. I am the only breadwinner in the family and my financial resources are presently exhausted due to Drushti Nagda’s previous hospitalizations, various medical tests and scans that have cost around 6 Lakhs. For the present requirement, I am hoping to gather around 2 to 3 lakhs from friends and relatives. But i would still be short by 15-16 Lakh rupees. My family urgently needs financial assistance and your good wishes.
