“Respecting the Rights of Mother Earth”. The art will be featured at an exhibit during Arts Arcata on October 11, 2013 at the Hotel Arcata. This one evening show is part of a series of events sponsored by the Seventh Generation Fund, an Indigenous Peoples’ social profit organization located in Arcata, California. These combined events will bring awareness to the “Respecting the Rights of Mother Earth” concept and the movement that reaches around the world. This one evening show is part of a series of events sponsored by the Seventh Generation Fund, an Indigenous Peoples’ social profit organization located in Arcata, California. These combined events will bring awareness to the “Respecting the Rights of Mother Earth” concept and the movement that reaches around the world. The collaborative movement between Seventh Generation Fund, Indigenous leaders, environmentalists, social justice activists, artists, community members and academia, will advance a dialogue and build collaborative understanding to defend and respect the rights of Mother Earth. We seek artwork that emphasizes the spiritual, environmental, social, and political relationships that we, as peoples of the Earth, have with the Natural World. The Ink People and Seventh Generation Fund welcome a wide array of media and mediums for this special show. Please submit pictures of art pieces to the emails listed below. There is a three entry maximum and a deadline of September, 25,, 2013. Artists will be notified by Oct. 1st if their art has been selected. We ask all selected artwork to be submitted on Oct. 8th-9th, and to be picked up by Oct. 15th.
