Rest By Christopher John Laying in bed..... listening to memories dance in my head.... across the room is a burning candle...... for some reason I close my eyes and place my head on Jesuss sandals..... not asking not crying not begging out loud.....I just want to bow and tell him out loud.... i need you... Like the sky needs the color blue... trying to be still in the moment to listen to his voice.... all I can hear is the sound of Angels shuffling their feet.... whispering to me I have a choice..... I can believe the lies and defeat......or I can trust God and lay everything at Jesuss feet... As the hours passed until the early morning.....trusting God the joy will come not mourning..... as the candle burned its way down to the end..... understanding Jesus is my best friend.... Having to carry a suitcase thats loaded with darkness..... Now understanding I dont have to carry it because his love is flawless...... As I pulled back the covers and the cold air blows on my face...... whispering to God I need your grace...... Im speaking to him telling him I cant do this alone...... he whispered in my ear and told me that Jesus has already left his throne..... he is on his way...... Peace came through me I have rest for one more day..... as I feel the Holy Ghost..... I know now that my home must be Godly .....and I have to be a holy host..... as I end my prayer...... as the candle burns out no light to bear..... I close my eyes to go to sleep...... knowing I have peace that God put his hands on my face as I sleep..... he put his hands on my chest and feels my heart beat...... just like we do when we watch our babies sleep..... Finding comfort in the promises of his word...... seems to clear my mind thats so disturbed..... reaching for heaven I surly found.... that my life has been built on solid ground..... As I wake in the morning a new day begins...... before I go to bed I want to tell you I love you my friends......
