Restored faith in humanity ...... Last week someone bumped into Lydias car as it was parked in town. As Lydia returned to her car she saw someone putting a piece of paper under the wiper blade. It was contact details and as apology from the person whod bumped into the car. She could have just driven off, but instead she decided to do the right thing and own up. My friends all know that our little Bobby was bitten by another dog at the weekend, causing quite some damage to his eye. The owner of the other dog gave me his contact details at the time and has kept in touch asking for regular updates on Bobbys condition. Last night he turned up at my doorstep and handed over an envelope containing cash equal to the current value of the vets bill. He also asked that we forward the final bill to him so he can pay the balance. I invited him in and he was clearly upset about what had happened, all this despite going through a particularly traumatic time of his own at present. We see lots of stuff on the news about our seemingly failing society, broken Britain, falling values and horrific acts across the globe ....... but these two small acts of caring and compassion prove that there are still a good few people out there!! Big thanks to all the good people out there :)
