Results from the evening match yesterday: Fished incredibly well, the best ever, with the top 6 all weighing over 100lb!! It was arranged as a one off match limited to 11 places advertised in the lodge which filled up pretty much instantly! Another will potentially be arranged in the near future based on interest so let me know if your interested. 1st Martin Richards (Carney Pools), peg 16 - 281lb 2nd John Ashwell (Maver Gold), peg 3 - 218lb 3rd Brad Parkes (Carney Pools), peg 20 - 217lb 4th Tony Maj (Maver Gold), peg 6 - 130lb 5th Ant, peg 1 (dragon) - 110lb 6th Dave Pratt (Carney Pools), peg 11 (dragon) - 103lb Martin Richards set the new venue record with 281lb of paste caught carp! Martin, who is sponsored by the pools having won last years league, took the new record by catching short and down the edge. He had some huge fish to win the match ahead of John Ashwell who came second. John weighed in 218lb from peg 3 on damsel having caught very well in the last 3.5 hours of the match. John bagged up down the edge having caught a few shallow at 13m earlier in the afternoon. Brad finished third off peg 20, close behind with a weight of 217lb. Brad caught shallow steady until the last two hours where he caught well on paste down the margin.
