Results from todays Mens & Womens CAA Cross Country Conference Championships... From Coach Mullen; Great results today from our young ACA Cross Country team at the CAA Conference Meet at Christ School, with four ACA runners earning All-Conference honors. The ACA Womens team is also the Conference Runner-up after narrowly being edged out by the 3A Asheville School team for the top spot. Sophomore Barron Northrup lead the ACA men with a 19:54 on the very challenging course for a 6th place overall finish and All-Conference honors. Coming in at the same 19:54 time was hard charging fellow sophomore Michael Dunham who took 7th place and also earned All-Conference recognition. Finishing up the scoring for the mens team were Steven Wang in 22:36, Jack Leary in 23:06 and Levi Smith in 24:19. Robbie Luna (24:39), Griffin Malone (25:57), Tim Perkin (25:58), and Paul Ledford (26:40), also ran and finished well today on the hilly and technical course. Mens Team Scoring: 1. Asheville School - 22 2. Christ School - 81 3. Shannon Forest - 109 4. Carolina Day School - 126 5. Rabun Gap - 128 6. ACA - 134 The young and talented ACA Womens team had another strong performance, and came up just short in their attempt to repeat as conference champions. The tough and competitive race against the larger 3A schools in the conference has them well positioned to defend their NCISAA 2A Championship title next week. 8th grader Lindsey Banks was once again named to the All-Conference team by finishing in 6th place in 22:40. Just behind her in 7th place, and also earning All-Conference honors, was freshman Julia Williams in 23:16. Sophomore Brittainy Crisp just missed all conference honors with her 8th place finish in 23:47, and was followed closely by freshman Lauren Douglas in 9th place at 23:51. Rounding out the scoring for the team was freshman Emma Cochrane in 12th place at 24:38. Fellow freshman, Julianne Vanderkwaak (25:02, 13th place), and Katie Hankley (27:45) closed out the results for the team. Womens Team Scoring: 1. Asheville School - 33 2. ACA - 42 3. Carolina Day - 62 4. Rabun Gap - 109 5.
