Retirement from Simmons My retirement from Simmons College after 12 years as a senior lecturer and professor of practice is set for June 2014. I look forward to a strong final year, capped by the fifth iteration of my “Human Rights in South Africa” travel course in spring 2014 and punctuated by guest appearances of former students now in the workplace in my journalism classes and for the South Africa prep sessions, which will occur once a week. If you’re one of my alums, get in touch so we can schedule a time for fall or spring (or both). I’m also looking forward to a big party at the end of the spring semester and to the opportunity to focus my full attention on completing a book on the Eritrean refugee and trafficking issue. For those who have followed my writing on this, my third article in a series will appear in the Fall 2013 issue of Middle East Report (merip.org).
