Returned 25 minutes after ringing doorbell and owner advising no one called, Per her request. She was standing at front door when we returned. She walked out and locked door behind her. .I thot to myself. .Oh boy. After using lockbox to get in, while owner stood there and watched, she then asked did I know listing agent. I assured her I called by going the extra mile showing her my call log with her agents name programmed in it. She reached over and tried to hit dial. . So I did it for her. After talking to other agent, she advised wires were crossed and thot I had made appt thru office. End of story? . .nope. Home owner then said, Can I talk to her?. . I said, sure. After she got off phone with her, then the second round of questioning started. She again asked me for my name. She went on to say there are a lot of scams going on. I said I understand. At this time my buyer chirps in and tells her I was a retired CHas Police officer. Of course that seemed to make her even more paranoid. She replied with, You, were a police officer. .? At that time. .I wanted to say, What. .Lady Im Batman. . Instead I just said yes. She then went back to the original subject of there are a lot of scammers out there. As I tried to get my buyer to at least walk down the hallway she said she was done, due to the obvious atmosphere. I was actually waiting for Chas PD to pull up. So even after her agent verifying I was a real agent, she followed and continued questioning. Im a man of patience and a professionalism, but she was testing it. It wasnt the questioning up front, but the attitude and continued questioning and remarks after she was told, by her agent, who I was. Happy Thursday. .
