Returning from the District 51 Toastmasters Convention is very enriching and fulfilling. The language-centred sessions were simply amazing while created an immediate urge in me to practice more communication in Bahasa Malaysia and Tamil. English Educational sessions were not bad as some inspirations were drawn for execution. The highlight was the speech contest this morning which was of great standard, making the district proud for having world-class speakers. Some of the speeches have great insights that could be emulated as tips and advice in our life. All the contestants were great but there could only be ONE winner. Whilst some may be disappointed but it should be a stimulating spark to continue participating with determination till accomplishing the victory. Apart from that, everyone is already a winner sharing their best practised speech in a national platform to the best satisfaction of their own self ! Another aspect of Great fellowship of meeting and greeting members from other clubs strengthened the camaraderie ! Wow! In a nutshell, attending conferences are simply awesome - pick up the best practices, offer constructive feedback on the areas for improvement while learn to connect with as many people as possible ! Dont miss any if you could attend - looking forward to the next Annual Convention in Langkawi in May 2015!
