Rev 14 says : And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Fathers name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. These 144,000 Jews are from the 12 tribes of Israel that go through the great tribulation. There are 12,000 from each tribe. They were sealed at the sixth seal. They were protected by God and scripture says they are blameless and calls them virgins. They were not martyred and are alive when Jesus comes to Mount Sion. It says they are firstfruits on this day of the harvest. My interpretion is they are faithful Jews that believe in Jesus during tribulation and are the firstfruits to be changed on the day of the second coming. Nobody precedes them. I would like to hear other interpretions because that is what scripture seems to say. -- To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory January 26, 2015 at 12:25 PM Flag Quote & Reply Pattie Member Posts: 116 The 12 Tribes of Israel • Reuben. • Simeon. • Levi (this priestly tribe did not receive a territory, and sometimes is not listed when the tribe of Joseph is listed as two separate tribes). • Judah. • Zebulun. • Issachar. • Dan. • Gad. • Asher. • Naphtali. • Joseph (often listed as two tribes named for his sons, Ephraim and Manasseh). • Benjamin. When the 12 tribes of Israel entered the Promised Land, they eventually formed the nation of Israel. Soon after Solomon’s death, this empire was torn apart by a great civil war. Though they have not reunited, they are prophesied to do so in the future or are they? Revelation 7 list 12Tribes; however there are two tribes not named: Ephraim which could be easily explained because the tribe of Joseph is mentioned; but Dan is not. Question, why isnt Dan mentioned? 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. When the tribes were scattered among the nations, some teach that some of the Jews migrated to Russia, Europe, North America, Canada, Mexico, South America. Some believe that American Indians, specifically the Cherokee tribe were of Jewish descendants. Remember scripture says the children of Israel…..144,000 are the children [descendants] of Israel, not specifically citizens of Israel. All tribes mentioned in Revelation have not returned to Israel. And does scripture say specifically they will return to Israel before they are sealed? Revelation 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Heres a thought: going back to the Tribe of Dan---could it be the Tribe of Dan migrated to the Northern Continent? Countries from the Northern Continent is not mentioned in End Times Prophecy specifically America. Niether is the tribe of Dan. Just a thought [nobody knows and it is not explained in scripture].
