Review on the stadium meeting this morning at city hall... Today, with a couple of my fellow cohorts from the 13th family, i went to the pan am subcommittee meeting at city hall. There were a lot of good points to consider after the meeting today... 1) Glenn Gibson, president of tiger-cats, sound very determined in front of the committee and that the team is adamant to get into their new home prior to home opener, even if the stadium is not totally finished. 2) The parking solution done by the pan am stadium committee should be adopted by the tigercats themselves. Having the shuttle buses as far west as redeemer and meadowlands in ancaster to ticats games is a great thing for fans in the far west mountain community as well as ancaster. 3) The real problem why the stadium was not on schedule was because of the WEATHER, not just the contracting. The ice storm played a major factor why the stadium is not being done on schedule thus far. Right now, it is likely we are three weeks behind, not six weeks. Were be getting more clearer to the projected deadline in a few weeks. 4) Like the tigercats ticket ride for free on bus program, if you obtain a ticket to go to a soccer game and other events during the pan am, you get to ride the go transit, hsr, ttc, or the other regional transit modes included in the games for free. Pretty sweet deal. 5) clarity was the name of the game today and I was impressed by the parties involved on the progress of the condition of the district of pan am. https://twitter/thespec/status/448593217806548992
