Revisited one of the first summits I ever stood on yesterday. When I was in high school I stood atop the Middle Teton, snow covered, steep, and intimidating. I sat there in the cold wind at the end of a year long program with fellow members and mentors of the Junior Mountaineering Team and thought, Ooooooooh, so this is what its all about... Everything clicked. I stood atop the small summit of the Middle Teton again yesterday, snow free, with clouds ghosting in and out of the surrounding summits, and couldnt help but reflect on how pivotal that day was and how much the mountains have become a driving force in my life since then. So neat to return with such lovely company.!
