Revolt against coercive Grisanti tactics on Grand Island Last Night! Since March Current Sen. Mark Grisanti has attempted to $trong arm various GOP committees to endorse him. Last night the Grand Island GOP committee stood firm and on principle and voted overwhelming to reject any consideration of endorsing Grisanti for the pending primary election. Republicans within the district gathered outside of the meeting location in a strong rally to show support for the pending decision to not endorse. A loud cheer was heard from those at the rally when the decision to not endorse was reported. Grisanti controls state Taxpayer funds– a powerful tool that Grisanti has not hesitated to use against elected officials who rely heavily on these state taxpayer funds that are controlled by him. When he and his people call these elected people seeking their endorsement - saying “no” has consequences when such corrupt methods are used. A very small number of town GOP committees with elected officials have buckled and endorsed upsetting many within their party. These folks are tasked with representing the best interests of those they represent so withholding their endorsement when they receive that call can hurt those they represent so they endorse under coercive and corrupt influence.
