Revolution is exactly what we require in Nigeria and the time for it is now. If we want to continue to have a country, it is indispensable to exterminate all those things capable of destroying it. Today, corruption is the major problem militating against the growth and threatening the continued existence of Nigeria. It has become a cankerworm which must be uprooted totally. So many people would want to blame government or depend on government for its eradication. This obviously has become impracticable. What we call government in Nigeria today is itself corruption. So, how can corruption check corruption? It will only continue to thrive. If we also talk of the private sector, it is the same thing. Corruption is already endemic in Nigeria ravaging everywhere. The quandary of corruption as it relates to the wellbeing of the country can only be related to the medieval time: when the might was right. The mighty ones did whatever they felt was right at the expense of the frail. It can also be likened to the days of colonial masters, when the powerful took over colonies at will. At these two points in history, it was the combination of efforts of the weak spearheaded by the youth that liberated the masses. This is what we need. The weak led by the most vibrant stratum of Nigeria. The youth of this country must decide whether they want a country or they want their country to become history. They must gird their loins and be ready to start a revolution. They must stop the illusion of waiting in the wings for the time it will get to their turns to loot the treasury as there may not be any treasury left to loot then. Let me say it clearly here that I am neither a blood-thirsty person nor a supporter of violence in whatever form. But the reality is you cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs. There will be sacrifices. The revolution I am advocating here is social mobilisation against corruption and the corrupt.
