Rex is in need of a foster or adopter before noon tomorrow when this 2 year old pit mix will be gone forever. Please help save Rex before it is to late.... A volunteer writes: His name means King and thats just what Rex is, the undisputed King of Cuddles! Wearing a pristine tuxedo and a winning smile, he starts our date off on the right paw by offering one of his patented stand-up-head-on-chest-adoring-eye-contact hugs and Im instantly smitten. No one is softer or more appreciative of petting than this guy and luckily for the rest of the world, Rex is no one woman dog! He loves getting out and socializing and is only too happy to spread himself around, greeting other pups with gentle tail wags and eagerly snuffling the hands of each new human friend he meets. Energetic and a keen explorer, Rex is thrilled to be outdoors and he walks nicely on leash, closely examining every corner of the yard and taking care of a few bathroom pit stops before showing off his good manners by coming when called, sitting politely for treats and snuffling them very gently from my hand. Then its more lap snuggling on the bench and an easy return to the warmth of his den where he remains standing at the door, forlornly watching me walk away. All dressed up with no place to go...Rex may have arrived as a stray but clearly this gorgeous boy was destined for much greater things and he deserves a real home with a family who adores him. Ask to meet the King of Cuddles at our Manhattan Care Center, Rex cant wait to show you what unconditional love truly means.
