Reynolds, Burgess banned for total of five games: Bulldogs five-eighth Josh Reynolds, Rabbitohs prop George Burgess and Sharks prop Sam Tagataese have all taken early guilty pleas and will serve a combined nine weeks on the sidelines, while Manlys Josh Starling, Cowboy Tariq Sims and the Eels Junior Paulo will front the judiciary on Wednesday night as the fallout from a controversial Round 23 continues. Influential playmaker Reynolds will miss three games having taken the early plea to both charges levelled at him in the Bulldogs loss to the Broncos on Friday night for dangerous contact on Sam Thaiday and a Grade 2 tripping charge on Ben Barba. The next game Reynolds will be eligible to play will be the Bulldogs Round 26 clash with the Titans. Meanwhile Souths behemoth Burgess will sit out the Rabbitohs next two games, having opted not to challenge the Grade 2 Dangerous Contact charge for his part in a chicken wing tackle on Manly centre Steve Matai. Teammate Issac Luke is free to play after also taking the early plea. Cronullas Tagataese has copped a four-week suspension for his dangerous throw on the Warriors Dane Nielson, meaning the prop has played his last game for 2014. Paulo, Starling and Sims will all head to the judiciary on Wednesday night from 6 pm disputing or challenging charges levelled at them last weekend. Paulo will miss three games if found guilty of a Grade 2 Dangerous Throw on Canberra prop Brett White, while Starling is contesting the Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge on Bunnies five-eighth Luke Keary. Starling will be ruled out of Manlys Sunday clash with the Titans if found guilty, having already taken the early plea for unnecessary contact on Dave Tyrrell. Sims does not face any extra suspension in challenging the one-week ban that accompanies his Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge for his hit on Tigers centre Tim Simona, but needs to successful appeal to play in Monday nights game against Penrith. The Dragons Dan Hunt and Storm prop Tim Glasby have both entered early guilty pleas to Grade 1 careless high tackle charges and are free to play this weekend.
