Rick Purcell, 33, a recruitment manager from Manchester - is raising money for James Cook’s neonatal unit to thank them for saving his cousin’s daughter – Gracie’s life, and for nursing her back to full health. He is aiming to raise £5000 and to encourage people to support him, he has set himself the amazing challenge of completing a triathlon a month from May to September. Rick has completed his first one - Wilmslow triathlon – successfully raising £463 so far. He still has to undertake Buxton triathlon, Llandudno triathlon, Manchester to Blackpool bike ride, Erias Standard triathlon and finally, Scotland coast to coast in September to complete his mammoth challenge.
