Ricks mothers obit: Barbara Ann (Johnson) Hoover, 77, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Melvindale, Michigan on February 8, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Barbara Elizabeth Martz Johnson and John Albert Johnson. She graduated from Susquehanna Twp. High School in 1955. Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading, bird watching, oil painting and family gatherings. She was employed at Riverside Cleaners, was a member of the Penbrook Lions Club, and was a league bowler at ABC Bowling Lanes. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Hoover Sr., and is survived by six children: Barbara M. Collare and husband Brian of Enola; Deborah J. Wevodau and husband Kevin of Moscow, PA; Sharon L. Wolf and husband Charles of Virginia; Richard L. Hoover Jr. and companion Michelle Jante of Halifax; John B. Hoover and wife Hope of Lower Paxton; Robert E. Hoover of Enola; Sister Donna J. Holbert of Lower Paxton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Amy and Erika Wevodau of Moscow; Brandon and Blaine Ashley Zimmerman of Steelton; Austin Hoover of Dauphin; Cameron Hoover of Lower Paxton and Lance Wojciecowski of Steelton. She has one great grandchild, Josiah Zimmerman and nephew Christopher A Holbert and wife Marthann Engle of Enola. She will be severely missed by her family and Scottish terrier companion, Sandy Buckets. Funeral services will be held at 10am, with Rev. R. Jeffrey Fisher officiating, Friday, June 7, 2013 at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110. Viewing will be held from 9am until time of services.
