Ridic. There is no way on earth congressmen should be paid after they leave office. So....in a sense we are paying for the current congressman and every other congressman/politician before him who is alive right? The only one I might agree with, but for half the money is Presidents cuz we all know they go on to make millions. None of this makes zero sense. I think they all need to start digging into their pockets. Once they leave office, they are citizens like everyone else and should have to pay for everything like we do -- insurance, mortgages, cars, etc... Its a perk that has to stop. While they are in and out of office they are busy making millions from their associations and stock tips they got...and then we need to pay you for life as well? This has to stop!!!
