Riding a motorcycle is f*cking hard. Theres this huge engine - TopicsExpress

Riding a motorcycle is f*cking hard. Theres this huge engine rumbling between your legs, and every roll on the throttle rewards you with this angry roar from your bike, each time it happens, you cant help but wonder if the thing might explode. It is a constant surge of adrenaline even when youre going 7mph because you *know* falling off the thing could potentially end your life or scrape your skin from your body. Then, when you hop off your bike and touch ground again after two or three hours of riding, you feel *alive*. I have never appreciated the art of two-wheel movement more than I do now, especially after Ive finally ridden one myself. Motorcycle riders whove been on their bikes for years make cruising down the street or cornering turns look incredibly easy, but the truth is, that left-side-right-side coordination is ridiculously complicated and takes a *lot* of skill to master. Being able to clutch squeeze into the friction zone, plus keeping in mind your front & rear break, while being able to understand *when* to down-shift into first gear, ease off the clutch, and slow your bike or stop on a dime -- just ... Holy CRAP. It is TOUGH. On my first day of motorcycle safety classes, I ate pavement about 4x, the last of which had my foot trapped under my bike after slamming my shoulder and arm into the blacktop. ... It was awesome. Now, more than ever, I appreciate high-quality motorcycle gear. If I hadnt been wearing the right boots and armored jacket, I wouldve been seriously injured. But because I invested in a good jacket and quality boots (read: pretty f*cking expensive gear), I didnt break any bones going down. Riding a motorcycle makes me understand *why* SKULLY is changing the f*cking world. Theres a saying in the motorcycle world, and its: Look where you want to go. If youre looking straight ahead, your bike will continue moving straight across the road. But guess what happens when you look down?! If you look down while youre riding to adjust your foot position or check your dash, even if youre going only 15mph, you will *definitely* eat pavement. The technology were creating at SKULLY is world-changing. Our heads-up display means youll *never* have to glance down at your dash for information like speed, gears, fuel, etc -- we are literally preventing accidents from happening in the first place, not just because of our rearview camera, but because of all of the information we give you in the heads-up-display without forcing you to take your eyes off of the road. Its amazing. Riding motorcycles is amazing. SKULLY is amazing. One more class, and that license is mine. Wish me luck.
