Riding the Red Line and a white guy walked up to me and asked if I have heard the B.O.B and Drake song? After telling him I have never heard it and declined the offer from him to play it he does it anyway. He proceeds to recite the lyrics and one of the words were Nigga. I politely informed him that he can never use that term again. He didnt understand why. Dear White People, its not my responsibility to educate you on why you cannot use a word that has enslaved my ancestors, denied basic human rights, murdered many in cold blood and never spent a day in jail or an indictment. As I type with tears and rage Im understanding more that the American Dream is an American Nightmare that I no longer want to be apart of. But Im still enslaved to a system and I cant find my way out because America is all I know and that is what hurts the most...
