Right, Ive been quiet on the subject of the #indyref, but now I reckon Ill say my piece. As a child of the Commonwealth (British born, Sri Lankan origins and very proud of both) I totally understand the emotive arguments about Scotland wanting independence - especially in light of the recent Coalition governments many vile policies that strike at societys most vulnerable. But I also know that a vote for Yes will mean we are more likely to return Tory governments, plus my friends in political journalism / politics, dont see independence as a viable option. So Im torn on what result I want to see, but I can only send my support to my many friends north of the border, as they firmly grasp their chance to make history. The fact that 97% of people have registered to vote is, at least, something we can all celebrate - to quote Disraeli (I think), history is made by those who show up.
