Right Mark, day three... Cave In - Big Riff I know pretty much know hee haw about Cave In. This was on the free CD that came with Terrorizer magazine in the days when I used to subscribe. (Kind of amusingly, Terrorizer started sending me threatening letters when I didnt renew my subscription!) There was an interview that pointed out the similarity to Rushs Tom Sawyer, so it sounded like they were maybe part of that whole neo-prog thing that was going on in the early noughties. I did get a sort of mini album thing on the back of it - Tides of Tomorrow, but Id say it sounded more like Aztec Camera than Rush. Nothing wrong with that, I saw Aztec Camera quite a few times in the 90s and the title track of their second album Knife could well have made this list on another day! But Ill go out on a limb and say theyre in that noise rock verging on metal but not really metal basket with At The Drive In and You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.
