Right now, bike rider safety is a hot topic in Australia. While it’s great the focus is here, it also brings a deluge of side issues which seek to distract and discredit the genuine discussion. We are well aware of numerous Facebook pages that allude to safer bike riding initiatives but in actual fact serve no purpose other than to muddy the waters and start arguments based on little more than myths and incorrect facts. We will not be identifying these pages, nor will we be engaging with them. We strongly recommend you take a similar approach. These pages cannot survive without attention, and even something as simple as clicking like can help their hatred spread. The discussion on bike rider safety should be centred on fact and research based reasoning. These pages do neither.
