Earlier this month, SAG-AFTRA mailed you a yellow postcard with a PIN number and instructions on how to vote online as part of the ratification process for the 2014 SAG-AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting (Network Television Code). If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to review the information and vote now — it’s easy and can be done quickly online or you can request a paper ballot if you prefer. All votes, whether done online or by paper ballot, must be received by 5 p.m. PST on Jan. 9, 2015. At its Dec. 8 meeting, the SAG-AFTRA National Board voted overwhelmingly to approve the tentative agreement reached with the four major television broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox), and is recommending members vote to approve it. Among the significant gains are increases in contract minimums over a three-year period, including an 8.7-percent overall wage increase to most program fees, in addition to increased contributions to the health and retirement plans.
