Via email to the County Executives Office, I requested clarification of the increase to CE Staff, especially in light of the 100% funding cut to Non-Profits and the Sheriff Patrol. Interesting response....: That is not true. I took a voluntary 10% pay cut again this year. HOWEVER...the 2015 proposed budget indicates the CE salary at $139,578- just $1 less than his 2014 salary...hardly a 10% pay cut...! When I further challenged the issue of increases to CE Staff, I received the following revised response: Short answer - these were 2 job changes with different and expanded responsibilities. Including in one case supervisor and transition I respectfully advised the County Executive Office Human nature dictates that no one is going to work as hard to try and right this wrong than those of us facing the potential loss of employment. So....STAY TUNED.....!! :-)
