Robert Redford Sailing Movie Tonight I saw Robert Redford’s new sailing movie and it was almost certainly the most intense movie watching experience I have ever had. The movie contained virtually no dialogue but the two old women seated behind me more than made up for the filmmaker’s lapse: they would not shut up. They chatted throughout the entire movie about what was happening, why it was happening, what they thought they would do, what they thought he should do, what they thought might happen next. To top it off, the woman directly behind me punctuated each of her insights with a swift kick at the back of my seat. Since Dayton Neon Movies has rocking seats this meant I was catapulted forward at the conclusion of each inane comment. The fact that both women walked out of the theater alive is a vivid testimony to the power of prayer. By the end of the movie all I could do was say silently over and over: “Dear Lord, don’t let me kill them, don’t let me kill them”. God is good. I have no idea whether or not it was a good movie, but trying to watch it was a very intense experience. I’ll never forget it.
