Robert Tye and Kim Coxhill - I was talking to my cousin Helen Tye Talkin today. She is Grandpas brother Alans daughter. She has been researching the Chinese side of the family. Grandpa was the Head of Chinese Broadcasting Corporation for the Nationalist Government before the Communist Revolution. Grandpa became ill and had to urgently be got out of China, and strings were pulled to get him back to the UK. It seems his family came from Southern China, and his father (your great Grandfather) was a chef. His name was Mr Kow. Grandpa changed his name to Tye. Just for interest.
