Robert did well in therapy today. He transferred himself from wheelchair to mat. He was able to stand from wheelchair pulling up on parallel bars 5 times. He wheeled his wheelchair from his room down hall to balcony turned around and wheeled it to nurses station and then back down hall to therapy room. :) That is quite a ways for him. That shows his strength!! They tried to get Robert to swallow today. He was able to swallow 2 bites of icey coke. He did not like it. He has thrush on his tongue and everything taste salty to him plus his throat is very irritated from trach. They are going to increase his thrush med to 6 times a day and see if this will help because he wants no part of tasting foods. I called him this evening to see how he was and he said good but worn out. Lol. I told him Dillion had a good day with the boys and he was a little confused and ask if he was spending the night with me again or did I want to bring him home. I told him I would keep him and he said ok that I could just drop him by his home tomorrow and he would be there and we could visit. I just told him ok. Then he said well I will see you tomorrow. :). Even though I know his conversation is confused I love to be able to talk to him and know that one day he will be home for me to go by and visit with. :). Continued prayer for his daily improvements.
