Robert has been deadlined (in the dogs eyes) for 2 weeks, so they have had to rely on Ians energy/mood levels for a good run. Today, he is feeling particularly energetic, as cloud cover rolls in and he declares, he is going to take them for a run, beyond the block that he has only ventured to year to date. He takes them on their tandem leash and is gone for about 5 minutes when it starts to rain. I get in the car to bail him out. I find him 5 blocks away and he stops by my window instead of the passenger door. I said, Im here to rescue you. He says, Mom, We are ANIMALS! We run in the rain! and trots off. Then comes home 10 minutes later and takes them both in for showers. When he is ON, he is ON! He is going to be a great husband one day!
