Roberto Orci has made one good film in the entire span of his tenure in Hollywood, and as it appears now- hes almost done. This fall he was about ready to start rolling on Star Trek 3, however Paramount apparently came to their senses and ousted him from the Directors chair, and as widely reported Justin Lin will now be taking over the franchise reigns after his Bourne film with Jeremy Renner was shoved onto the back burner early this fall. In typically smug and bitter Bob Orci fashion, Roberto Orci yet again took to TrekMovie, where he had his massive 200+ comment temper tantrum/flame war in 2013... to admit that hes no longer going to be involved in the writing of Star Trek 3- and that hell function as a producer no thats it. Now originally he announced that he was leaving the directors chair and that better and bigger opportunities have presented themselves.... Could that be Star Wars? My gut prays HEELLL NAWWWW, but my fear is that yes, he was ousted from Star Trek but that JJ may have threw him a bone... But my general feeling is that hell be kept as far away from Star Wars as possible. Disney is very keen and counting on Star Wars to be as successful as what theyre doing with Marvel, if not even more so. And Roberto Orci has one positively ranked project under his belt- ONE in 10 years. Star Trek 2009. Almost every other project hes been involved with since hasnt seen a review north of 59%.... And he has a notable reputation for being smug and childish and having said some truly reprehensible things to Star Trek fans over the years (then again, I cannot possibly imagine how it use feel to be completely hated by the vast majority of Star Trek fans... or The dump trucks full of money hes probably had from all that Transformers money) But heres a direct quote from Orci; Stop blaming [Bad Robot]. It was my idea so that you would not know what was gonna happen next. Nothing more or less. I stand behind it. And it, again, is the reason why I make movies and you don’t. *Star Trek Into Darkness actually has like an 89% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.... But is completely disliked on the interwebz by both film fans and hated by Star Trek fans. Im in the middle. I didnt hate it in any way. It was such a thrilling and fun Star Wars--- I mean Star Trek movie, it just wasnt a *Star Trek* movie... And all the characters are just impressions at this point, with Peter Weller and Benedict Cumberbatch being the only ones with anything to do
