Robin Williams #RobinWilliams donated three signed dog collars to our Celebrity Collars for Dollars auction in 2007. Below are photos of these three collars, one for Gabby and two for Mable. What strikes us about the death of Robin as compared to what is going on in Bellwood, PA—where the DDB founder is fighting false charges for advocating for a dog—is that a man this great and wonderful took the time to stop and sign his dog’s collars and photos of himself for dogs he never met or never would meet, recognizing them as having inherent value. But this poor cattle dog’s owner values her so little and the Bellwood police value her rights as a living being so little that they trump up charges against the one person who used her eyes to see the dog was in trouble and her voice to attempt to get her help. It just doesnt add up. Thank you, Robin, for valuing our work and the rights of chained dogs enough to help. Thank you for all you did in your lifetime and all the lives you touched along the way.
