Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Presents New Elvis Exhibit Opening Thanksgiving Weekend! Personal Jewelry and the King of Rock and Roll’s Three-Wheeled Motorcycle are Highlights... The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE) is thrilled to announce the opening of a new exhibition centered around Elvis Presley, one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Opening Friday, November 29 at 10 a.m., this exhibit will be located in the Ahmet Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall and provides a compelling look into Elvis’ Army career, the 1968 television special, Elvis, commonly known as the comeback special and his appearances in Lake Tahoe. More than 40 artifacts are on loan from Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis representing different moments in Elvis’ career. Key items in the collection include a 1975 custom made SuperTrike motorcycle, a selection of his personal jewelry and a new film created expressly for the exhibit by EPE, which showcases iconic performances in Elvis’ career. Additional exhibit highlights include: • The “If I Can Dream” suit, c. 1968. The white suit Elvis wore when he performed this song in the Elvis television special. It was also pictured on the cover of a soundtrack album • A rehearsal schedule for Lake Tahoe performances, c. 1971. Throughout Elvis’ career, he held concerts most often in Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe • His ID bracelet and several rings • His official U.S. Army induction portrait (wallet size) that was taken and issued upon his arrival for basic training, c. 1958
