And if you had told me six years ago that today I would be in San Diego as a DoD employee, I would have laughed, cried, and drank a few more bottles of wine. This sobriety year (and especially these last few months) something shifted for me spiritually. It came from a few things, mainly simplifying the spiritual aspect of the program, realizing that God was the one that kept me sober when I wasnt working a program and going crazy in my head and then having been gifted my Grandpas AA writings and thoughts he had compiled over the last 30 years and his Big Book. Some might call it a spiritual awakening ;) Im grateful for my family and friends and their relentless support and belief in me (all your FB posts and texts made me feel very loved!!!) and Im extremely grateful for this beginnings of a relationship with God. Im excited to build stories/floors onto my foundation and to see what this next year has in store!! Thank you to everyone who is on this ride called life and sobriety with me, the best part is is that it aint over yet!! Much love. Xoxo
