Rolling Stone gives the new U2 album five stars. RS hardly ever does that. Theres a real set of mixed reviews on it. (Metacritc collects 28 reviews of the album here. metacritic/music/songs-of-innocence/u2 Maybe the shortened version of the Paste Mag review says it best for me, Once the controls for the album are ceded (mostly) to Danger Mouse, the album really starts to cook. The last five songs are the best batch of material U2 have played a part in for a decade, at least. ) I still havent listened to more than the first three songs, but I enjoyed those. So I need to go to those last five songs! The only problem I have with its release is the way Apple just stuck it on every device that iTunes resides on.
