Rolling Sun Festival programme announced. An exciting line up of readings, talks, music and reveling has been announced for the Rolling Sun Book Festival which takes place from November 13th to 17th. A weekend of literary fun awaits in Ireland’s best place to live – the beautiful town of Westport, under the shadow of Croagh Patrick. This year’s line-up includes the opening at Westport House with author Anne Chambers and singer-songwriter and poet, Luka Bloom; a recording of RTÉ’S Sunday Miscellany; former Government ministers Mary O’Rourke, Eamon Ryan with Anne Chambers probing the subject ‘From the Brehon Laws to Bra-Burning’ and Irish Times columnist, Hilary Fannin, novelist and actress, Michele Forbes and broadcaster and novelist, Rachael English, ‘On The Couch’. Launches of Anthony O’Brien’s beautiful book of paintings and haiku poems ‘36 Views of Croagh Patrick’, and artist Alice Maher’s book, ‘Reservoir: Sketch Books and Selected Works’ complete a carnival of culture, ceol and craic The full programme is at rollingsunbookfestival or for further information contact 098-28088.
