Rolling Thunder Washington, DC Inc. Tony Orlando recognizes American military heroes! By MSgt Rob Wilkins, USAF, Ret. On Oct 11th, 2014, while visiting the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, Tony Orlando shares the story of the first time he sang the song, Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree, to 70,000 people to include 580 former Prisoners Of War (POW). The purpose of the concert was to welcome our POWs home. We invited Tony to ride in Rolling Thunder XXVIII! He said he will try his best!
