Romans 12:19 NLT [19] Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, I will take revenge; I will pay them back, says The Lord. It is human to return evil for evil, or to get even. PROBLEM.....RED FLAG THAT STINKING THINKING!! If you want to repay and even the score, you will become a restless gunslinger. Getting even will consume your energy, your soul, make you bitter, bring heartache, cause health problems, and lead you on a never ending path of revenge getting. I know the way ones heart cries out for justice. I understand the pain of being misunderstood. There is a way out, of this fruitless pursuit. There is a way to come back to center. It is a #PROCESS, it is a #JOURNEY, and its probably going to involve some pain.... Let me suggest that the only way to rise above the cycle of #RECIPROCITY, is surrendering your hurt to the Father. Put it down, put that tool of reciprocation down! Whatever you have to do, let go of the hurt, and let the #HEALER Jesus, redeem your past. Yes, you have to be in it for the long haul, NO #SHORT-#TERM commitments are of value. Leave the anger behind and call on the Righteousness of God to get you through.
