Romans 5:9-11 Much more then, because we have now been declared righteous by his blood, we will be saved through him from God’s wrath. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life? Not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation. You are justified by the blood of Christ alone. This means that justice has been done regarding the sinful lives we lead – and that price was paid by Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. Without payment, we would be forever separate from God our Father, unable to enter His presence. Our sins were paid for by His death. This leaves us Christ alone to hold onto in order to relate to God. It is Christ resurrected that paves our way to salvation and eternal life.
