Romans 8 part 1 Life/ Power Through the Spirit in Christ we are so much more than we know! Most of us though fail at maximizing our potential because our spirits are still in a embryonic stage. Even though some of us have been Christians for ages we are still babes in our spirit because we live in the flesh. What do i mean? i mean we do things to gratify ourselves rather than our spirit! ill give you a simple example. one of the things we are suppose to do to do as Christians is to study the word of God daily but instead of setting apart some time for God, to pray, read and study we pick up the remote and catch our favorite tv show hit up face book for a while talk on the phone. Then we turn in for bed at the end of the night mutter a few thanks to God if even that! Then we do it all again the next day leaving the spirit empty. In order to grow we are to study and be discipline in our practice of Gods laws and live them out daily. Romans 8;3-4 And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. When you live by the spirit your attitude should also reflect that spirit in you you are to show your joy your peace and you love to those around you. everything about you starts to change in the spirit. what you think Philippians 4:8 what you look at and listen Psalm 101:3 too where you go who you hang with Psalm 1 how you talk positive and not negative Psalm 34 . we are to cast down every evil imagination in our spirit 2 Corinthians 10:5 Nut to be honest we are no always doing these things so we are not growing as we should and if shows by our lack of power! the mind that is in you in the spirit is actually the mind of Jesus!Philippians 2:5 because we have the mind of Christ in the spirit but just like a baby with a Lamborghini we dont know how to use the power given us. we must exercise our spiritual muscles to maturity and tap the limitless power of God. Father help this message to reach whom ever is in need of it so they may grow we all have power but need to learn how we ought to use it please teach us what to do in you we pray amen!
