Ron Mulock, the former mayor of Penrith and deputy premier of NSW, has died. Mr Mulock, a lawyer by trade, served for six years on Penrith Council, including three as mayor from 1968 to 1971. He became a passionate advocate of Penrith after moving west from Marrickville shortly after completing his university law degree. He later became a life member of the Penrith Panthers rugby league club. Mulock entered Parliament in 1971 as an MP for the state seat of Nepean.
