Ronks HC by ღ JustAnotherPrincess ღ Pain rampaged through every inch of her body. It was like being hit by a thousand cruciatus curses all at once. Quite frankly shed take the cruciatus curse right now. The pain was too intense. Sweat covered her entire body, dripping freely down her face which was contorted in agony. She felt a hand grip hers tightly and looked up into the eyes of the man she loved. Breathe, come on. You can do this, Remus whispered, kissing her sweat-riddled forehead. Tonks crushed Lupins hand and leaned into his body as the pain intensified. She let out a long distressing scream. Not prepared for this, not prepared at all.. Everybody had told her but Tonks had not believed them. The pain. Push Dora sweetie, come on. You can do this, her mother, Andromeda, soothed. No I cant, please dont make me, Tonks whimpered. Yes you can. Now come on. PUSH! Andromeda urged, pressing a cool flannel onto Doras forehead. The coolness helped a little though not for very long. For the second time she found Remus eyes, filled with both happiness and anguish as he hated to see her in pain. Tonks locked onto his gaze and focused hard on their little light she had to bring into the world. Gathering all her strength Tonks pushed for the final time, and at last it was over. Flopping back onto the bed she heard her baby before she saw him. Remus strode over to Andromeda and took the little bundle in his arms. Andromeda smiled and whispered something she couldnt quite clear. Getting impatient Tonks began to push herself into a sitting position eager to see her little shining light. Remus, seeing his wifes impatience, smiled and walked over to her. He gently placed their baby in her arms and stroked the little pudgy hand. As Tonks held her child in her arms a feeling she had never experienced before overtook her entire being. It was as though her heart had swollen to twice its size and inside her little shining light filled her body entirely with love. Unexpectedly tears of happiness filled her eyes. Tonks kissed her new born baby upon its head and looked up expectantly at her husband. Remus smiled back at her, tears of his own in his eyes. Its a boy.
