Rosemarie: Definitely not ground breaking! Judith Bluestone, Founder of the HANDLE Institute and author of the Fabric of Autism, said autism is only a construct, and constructed by those looking at the parts. None of us, including those labelled on the autistic spectrum, lack anything but working under extreme stress causes us to protect and need to do whatever we need to do for survival and protection. A person with that label may not be able to distinguish anothers emotions from their own because of the mixed messages their stressed systems are given them so they internalise it or hit out. It is definitely not from a lack.
