Roundtuit - It’s a novelty gift that has been around for years and can be found at flea markets, craft shows, and novelty stores. Usually it is in the shape of a donut and has the word “roundtuit” impressed on it. Often it is given to someone with a propensity to defer on jobs that need to be done. The conversation may begin with, “You need to get that done.” The response, “Yea, yea, I’ll git aroundtuit,” follows. That’s when someone buys the procrastinator an official roundtuit. Some tasks are not time sensitive. They can be completed today, or tomorrow, and if ignored long enough, may never need to be completed. There are, however, some responsibilities that cannot be ignored. Nor can they be deferred to a more convenient time or delegated to another person. Whether we like it or not, we own certain obligations and must address those obligations in a timely manner. Such is the duty to stand up for what is right in our society. Our nation is on a rapid downward slide away from those principles and traditions that have made us a great country; a nation offering the greatest level of individual freedom ever experienced by any people in the history of the world. Our Creator has endowed us with unalienable rights. There are those in our society at large and our government specifically who are systematically attempting to usurp those unalienable rights. The swift departure from America as we have known it is mind boggling. We have an obligation to our children and grandchildren to stand on the wall. We cannot say, “Let someone else do it.” We must be that “someone.” We cannot say, “Maybe tomorrow.” Tomorrow may be too late. Friends, roundtuit won’t doit.
